My name is Marie Held. I am living in Southampton, work as a postdoc at Southampton University and have a passion for photography. I like to take images of all kinds of things including landscapes, nature and, as you might discover, clouds. Additionally, I like to play with image processing software to convert images of a large variety of objects into - as I like to think they are - electronic pieces of art. Photography is an essential hobby and outlet for me to unwind.

The equipment I use on my image hunts are a digital SLR Canon Eos 400D and a compact Sony Cybershot. Once upon a time, I had a Konika Minolta Dimage 50X with an amazing colour reproduction. In case a nice picture opportunity presents itself, I also use my phone camera - beggars cannot be choosers.
